Seattle Home Buyer Seminar
The workshop is sponsored by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. Class graduates receive a certificate of eligibility, entitling them to apply for Washington State Housing Finance Commission loan grant programs.
After the class you will have a clear understanding of the home buying process. Some of the topics discussed include:
- The loan application process
- An overview of loan programs
- Down payment assistance programs
- How to choose the right property
- How to interview a real estate broker
- Title insurance and deeds of trust
- How to avoid predatory lending
- The steps to closing
Industry insiders vary, however guest speakers often include, home inspectors, title insurance guru’s and escrow professionals.
Workshops are held the second Saturday of each month, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a one hour lunch. The location is at the Capitol Hill Branch of Coldwell Banker Bain, 1661 East Olive Way, Seattle WA 98122.
